What is Scrum?
Scrum is a framework for agile collaboration. Teams work in short, fixed cycles called sprints, deliver results regularly and continually adapt their approach based on feedback.
Which roles and events does Scrum have?
The Scrum Guide describes three accountabilities and five events:
- Product Owner: decides what delivers the most value and orders the work.
- Scrum Master: makes sure the team can work well and removes obstacles.
- Developers: deliver the work during the sprint.
- Events: the Sprint, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective.
What has changed at elvadata?
In 2019 we began transforming into an agile organisation and way of working based on Scrum. Since then we have combined the wisdom of experience with fresh perspectives. We make decisions efficiently and from anywhere, and every voice counts.
What does it mean for your project?
Your implementation also happens in iterative steps: we set up, test together, incorporate feedback and go live safely. Our 8-step approach provides the framework:
- Understand: capture goals and requirements
- Analyse: assess the current situation and potential
- Concept: solution design with clear benefits
- Offer: a transparent plan with effort
- Implementation: introduction in iterative steps
- Test: ensure quality, incorporate feedback
- Go-live: a safe start to operation
- Operation: support and further development
What are the benefits of agile working for you?
- You see results early and can test them in day-to-day work.
- Changes feed into the next step instead of surfacing only at the end of the project.
- Risks become visible early because what works is reviewed regularly.
- Your key people are closely involved and carry the knowledge into the team.
This is also how we approach an ERP implementation: we set things up, test together with real cases from your daily work and incorporate feedback continuously.
What does it feel like in the team?
