How did it all begin?
elvadata was founded in 1996 as a subsidiary of swissherdbook and swissgenetics. Its first task was to run their IT infrastructure and IT systems. This work built the know-how in operations, security and infrastructure that is still part of our IT services today.
Which milestones shaped the 30 years?
- 1996: ELVADATA AG is founded
- 2017: first Sage X3 implementations, the start of our ERP focus
- 2019: start of the agile transformation based on Scrum
- 2021: partnership with Salesforce, information security management system to ISO 27001 and the 25th anniversary celebration at Kubus Bern
- 2023: Marcel Ulrich takes over as CEO, plus the Sage Winners Circle Award
- 2026: 30 years of elvadata
What does elvadata stand for today?
Today we bring business software and IT together: ERP with Sage X3, CRM with Salesforce, business intelligence, IT services, hosting in a Swiss data centre and hardware. As a Sage Platinum Partner, we hold the highest partner level in the Sage ecosystem.
What has not changed is our commitment to listen carefully and design solutions that fit our clients’ processes.
Which industries does elvadata work for?
Our roots are in agriculture: swissherdbook and swissgenetics are still among our clients today. Over the years, companies from industry, trade and distribution, construction and trades, tourism, transport and logistics, telecommunications, real estate and healthcare have joined them.
